The British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League has named the first ten players to the 2025 All-Star team.

The BCIHL All-Star team returns for the first time since December 17th, 2018, when the team faced the Kazakhstan U20 National Team ahead of the 2019 IIHF World Juniors. Kazakhstan would skate to a 2-0 victory over the All-Stars, putting 43 shots on goaltenders Michael Lenko (SFU) and Lucas Mills (TWU).

For the initial selection, each of the five member clubs picked two players from their roster to represent their team at the 2025 BCIHL All-Star Challenge, where the All-Stars will face the USports–CanadaWest University of British Columbia Thunderbirds and Trinity Western Spartans on January 3rd and 4th, 2025 in Nanaimo, BC. The teams have named a combined 9 forwards and 1 defenceman to the initial roster.

Vancouver Island University: Davis Sato & Ethan Jones

The host and league leading VIU Mariners have selected two forwards to represent their club at the 2025 All-Star Challenge. In 8 games played, Sato sits 25th in scoring with 4 goals and 6 points, while Jones is tied for first in goals scored with 10 and third in points with 17.

University of Victoria: Kyle Crewe & Ryan Strange

The University of Victoria Vikes have named the first defenceman to the 2025 All-Star roster. Kyle Crewe leads all BCIHL defencemen in scoring with 3 goals and 14 points in 10 games, while forward Ryan Strange sits tied for fifth place in league scoring with Crewe with 2 goals and 14 points in 10 games.

Logan Lake Miners: Jordan Lario & Gavin Mattey

Logan Lake will send two forwards to the BCIHL All-Star Challenge to represent the Miners for the first time in club history. In 8 games, Gavin Mattey leads the league in scoring with 10 goals and 18 points, while Jordan Lario is in fourth in league scoring with 7 goals and 16 points.

Simon Fraser University: Jaden Fodchuk & Nick Wagner

Simon Fraser University has named the first and only rookie to the BCIHL All-Star roster so far in Jaden Fodchuk. In 9 games, Fodchuk leads the team in goals scored with 7, while Red Leafs captain Nick Wagner leads the team in points with 3 goals and 10 points, good for 12th in league scoring.

Okanagan Lakers: Carter Bettenson & Coletyn Boyarski

The Okanagan Lakers have named forwards Coletyn Boyarski and Carter Bettenson to round out the first ten selections for the 2025 BCIHL All-Star team. In 9 games, Boyarski currently sits tied for 17th in scoring with 8 points while Bettenson holds the 13th spot in league scoring with 3 goals and 9 points.

The full 2025 BCIHL All-Star Roster will be named in mid-December. The team will then face off against the UBC Thunderbirds on January 3rd and the TWU Spartans on January 4th at the Nanaimo Ice Centre to kick off the New Year.
