VIU returns to Bill Copeland Sports Centre for the first time since the 2023 BCIHL Championship.

SFU will host the Mariners for their first home game in almost two months, and first of only five home games in the second half of the season. The Red Leafs will look to rebound after last week’s 6-4 loss to the Mariners where eight players found the scoresheet and a 39-save performance from Cooper Giesbrecht despite a late game push.

Coming off that 6-4 victory, the Mariners visit Burnaby for the first time since the 2023 BCIHL Championship where they fell to the Red Leafs in their fourth consecutive appearance in the championship series. 5 Mariners are coming off multi-point performances, including three points each from Logan Kurki, Caleb Franklin, and Brock Palmer.

After last week’s game postponement, the UVic Vikes will return to action in Logan Lake to face the Miners. The Vikes are currently on a three-game losing streak after running the table in November, where they won six in a row. Goaltender Shawn Parkinson leads the BCIHL goalie leaders with a .907 save percentage heading into Friday’s matchup.

Logan Lake returns to BCIHL action after splitting a two-game exhibition series with the University of Montana Grizzlies which included the first ever outdoor game that a BCIHL program has participated in. The Miners will face the Vikes for the first time since earning their first ever BCIHL regular season win against UVic back on November 24th.
