The inaugural Tom Harris University Showcase gets underway at the Nanaimo Ice Centre at 1:00pm PST on Friday with the UVic Vikes taking on the Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder in a rematch of the two-game series played this September, where the Thunder took both games by scores of 5-4 and 3-2.
The weekend will continue with Simon Fraser University, Vancouver Island University, and the University of Victoria facing the aforementioned Concordia University of Edmonton, as well as the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (Calgary) and Korea University (Seoul, South Korea) in a 9-game showcase where each BCIHL team will face each of the visiting teams. The weekend will mark the first time that the BCIHL has hosted any of the three visiting teams. All 9 games will be available to watch on the BCIHL YouTube Channel.
Outside of the showcase, the Logan Lake Miners will head to Montana to face the ACHA Div. II University of Montana Griz for a two-game exhibition series, including an outdoor game on Saturday evening in Kalispell, MT. The game will be the first outdoor game ever played by a BCIHL program.
