UVic will head to Kelowna to face the Lakers after a 2-1 victory in Burnaby on Friday night. With 2nd place comfortably in their grasp after their last win, the Vikes will set their sights on finishing atop the BCIHL standings for the first time since 2008.

Okanagan enters Saturday’s action looking to rebound after falling at home to the Mariners by a score of 7-3 last weekend. The Vikes have been a problem for the Lakers all year, with the Victoria team holding a 3-0-0 advantage entering Saturday’s matchup. Okanagan will need to earn points in their remaining four games in order to hold on to third in the standings.

VIU makes their way to Burnaby for the last time this season to face the Red Leafs. Coming off a 6-2 win in Logan Lake the night before, the Mariners continue to dominate in the second half of the season currently riding a now eight game win streak. However, the Vikes continue to keep close company in the standings, and every game will be important for the Mariners if they want to keep the #1 seed heading into the playoffs.

SFU will look to rebound and snap their losing streak after dropping a 2-1 decision to UVic on Friday night in heartbreaking fashion, giving up a shorthanded goal in the final 10 minutes of the third. The Red Leafs needed to gain at least one point on the Miners in order to clinch their spot in the BCIHL playoffs this weekend, and will have an opportunity to earn that spot against the Mariners on Saturday night.
