VIU will look to finish up the calendar year atop the BCIHL standings.

After defeating the Vikes 5-4 in overtime on Friday night, VIU now sits just one point behind for top spot in the BCIHL standings. The Mariners fell behind in the match, entering the third period down 4-2, but stormed back, forced overtime, and earned the extra point with their third unanswered goal.

The Vikes will look to hold on to the top spot in the league with a win in any fashion tonight after last game’s loss. Despite a 2-goal lead and an incredible goal from Brian Majic, UVic couldn’t hold on and would settle for the single overtime point.
