The University of Victoria is pleased to announce that defenceman Brody Jennings has committed to the Vikes for 2018/19 B.C. Intercollegiate Hockey League season.
Jennings hails from Kelowna, B.C. and has 156 games of Junior A hockey experience under his belt playing in the BCHL, OJHL and SIJHL, as well as a season with the KIJHL's Beaver Valley Nitehawks.
The 6-foot-1 blueliner spent the majority of his junior career with the SIJHL's English River Miners. During the 2017/18 campaign he notched career highs in goals with nine and assists with 19 while suiting up in 36 regular season games. He was also nominated for the SIJHL’s CCM Hockey Best Defenceman.
"I chose the University of Victoria based on the quality of education, the quality of the people and the amazing location of the city of Victoria," says Jennings.
Jennings is the Vikes' second commitment of 2018, joining forward Branden Voss (Drayton Valley, AJHL).
