Pre-season action kicks off on September 15th, when the Vancouver Island University Mariners take on their island rival University of Victoria Vikes, and the Okanagan Lakers face off against the Penticton Senior AA Silver Bullets.
Regular season action returns two weeks later on September 30th with the BCIHL’s two independent teams and latest expansion members meeting in Kelowna: the Logan Lake Miners and the Okanagan Lakers.
The regular season will come to its conclusion on February 24th, 2024, with post-season dates still to be determined. The top four teams at the conclusion of the regular season will quality for the 2024 BCIHL Playoffs.
Three teams (excluding Simon Fraser University) currently have non-conference competition scheduled, with all teams seeking to add more dates throughout the season. The VIU Mariners will be taking on USports competition in the Trinity Western University Spartans on September 24th, and will travel to Alaska to take on NCAA competition for the first time in program history against the Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves on September 29th and the Alaska-Fairbanks Nanooks on September 30th. The UVic Vikes will visit the ACAC’s Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder on September 29th and 30th, while the Logan Lake Miners will take on their first ever non-conference opponent to kick off 2024 on January 5th when they visit the University of Montana Grizzlies in Missoula, MT.
