On the Week 17 edition of the 2016/17 "Inside the BCIHL" audio podcast, host Brian Wiebe previews a pair of firt-round playoff series set to begin Thursday and Friday respectively.
First, Brian takes a look at the match-up between top-seeded Simon Fraser University and the fourth-ranked University of Victoria. He speaks with Clan forward Daniell Lange, the BCIHL's reigning Player of the Week, as well as Vikes forward Wolfgang Schoenfuhs.
Next, Brian looks ahead to the series between the #2 and #3 seeds as Trinity Western University hosts Selkirk College beginning Thursday in Langley. Spartans forward Florian Niedermaier and Saints forward Matt Martin about the team's third postseason meeting in the last four years.

About Brian Wiebe:
Brian has been involved in broadcasting hockey in BC for 14 years. Currently, he is the Assistant Instructor for the Radio Arts and Entertainment Program at BCIT and Assistant GM with the PJHL's Port Moody Panthers.
He served as Program Manager, Morning Host, and Sports Director with Q101 in Merritt from 2002-11, and got his start as colour commentator on Burnaby Bulldogs radio broadcasts on CFML 104.5 in 2001.
Wiebe's career in sports includes stints outside of the broadcast booth, as he was a member of the Merritt Centennials Board of Directors from 2006-08, including one season as Team President. He served as the Centennials' webmaster from 2006-12 and Media & Communications Coordinator from 2010-12.
He also maintains a blog called Brian's Banter covering the BCIHL, NCAA, BCHL, PJHL, KIJHL, BCMML and more. Wiebe is a graduate of the Radio Broadcasting Program at BCIT. Contact him via email.
