TWU's Kreller named BCIHL Player of the Week after 6 points in road sweep

Trinity Western University forward Jamey Kreller has been named the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League's Player of the Week for the week ending December 4th.

The fifth-year forward helped the Spartans win both ends of a two-game weekend road trip to Selkirk College and Eastern Washington University, picking up six points in the process.

The Winfield, BC product had a career night on Friday in Castlegar, picking up three assists on goals by linemate Jarrett Fontaine before he scored two of his own -- including the game winner midway through overtime to break a 6-6 tie.

The next night, Kreller assisted on another Fontaine marker that stood up as the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win. He currently sits third in team scoring and seventh amongst all BCIHL skaters with 17 points in 13 games.

Runners up for this week's award include Trinity Western University forward Jarrett Fontaine, Simon Fraser University forward Mitch Crisanti, Trinity Western University goaltender Lucas Mills and University of Victoria forward Patrick Holland..
