TWU rookie Evan Last named Player of the Week after 3-point night vs. SFU

Trinity Western University forward Evan Last has been named the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League's Player of the Week for the week ending November 20th.

The rookie forward continued to pace the Spartans' offence this weekend, chipping in on each of his team's goals in a 3-1 home ice win over Simon Fraser University.

The 21-year old set up the game's opening goal midway through the second period when he fed Stefan Gonzales for a power-play marker, and then scored himself with less than three minutes remaining to put TWU up 2-1. He also assisted on an empty net effort from Jarrett Fontaine to cap the scoring late in the third period.

Last currently sits second in BCIHL scoring (and first amongst rookies) with 16 points through nine games, only one point behind league scoring leader Dallas Calvin.

Runners up for this week's award include Trinity Western University goaltender Silas Matthys, Selkirk College defenceman Nathan Browne and Selkirk College goaltender Austin Wells.
