UVic's Tindle named Player of the Week after two-goal effort vs. EWU

University of Victoria forward James Tindle has been named the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League's Player of the Week for the week ending February 28th.

Tindle helped lead the Vikes to a pair of home wins over Eastern Washington University, solidifying the Vikes' fourth place record in the BCIHL standings. On Saturday, the 22-year old scored his first two goals of the regular season, both in the third period, and was named the game's second star in a 5-2 victory.

Tindle now sits with two goals and three points in 22 games.

Runners up for this week's award include Selkirk College forward Ryan Edwards, University of Victoria goaltender Zack Wear and Trinity Western University forward Jamie Russell.
