BCIHL releases details of University Hockey Showcase to be held in Burnaby

In celebration of the league's 10th Anniversary, the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League is proud to announce the University Hockey Showcase presented by Tourism Burnaby and Hilton Hotel Metrotown.

The event will feature all five BCIHL teams competing in six regular season games over three days from January 15-17 at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre in Burnaby, B.C.

Jan. 15 – Selkirk College vs. Trinity Western – 4:00 PM
Jan. 15 – Eastern Washington vs. Simon Fraser – 7:00 PM
Jan. 16 – Eastern Washington vs. University of Victoria – 4:00 PM 
Jan. 16 – Selkirk College vs. Trinity Western – 7:00 PM
Jan. 17 – Selkirk College vs. University of Victoria – 2:00 PM
Jan. 17 – Eastern Washington vs. Trinity Western – 5:00 PM

The weekend will also feature a luncheon on Saturday with all five teams in which the BCIHL All Decade Team will be unveiled for the first time.

On Saturday, the BCIHL will also host a Coaches’ Q&A session which will give fans, parents and prospects a chance to ask questions and learn about the league.

The BCIHL University Showcase is also partnering with Heroes Hockey Challenge, which is an organization that hosts events across Canada to raise awareness and financial support “…For the Soldier, the Wounded, the Fallen and their Families.” Heroes Hockey Challenge is owned and managed by the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry Foundation.
