Selkirk College forward Logan Proulx has been named the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League's Player of the Week for the week ending February 22nd.
The Saints captain picked up six points in leading his team to a crucial two-game sweep on the road against the University of Victoria.
On Friday, Proulx assisted on goals by Ryan Edwards and Marc-Antoine Guimond as Selkirk opened the weekend series with a commanding 7-1 victory.
And on Saturday, needing a win to clinch second place in the BCIHL standings, the 23-year old scored once and set up two others in the first period alone as the Saints cruised to a 6-2 win. He went on to add another helper on a second period power-play to finish the game with four points.
Proulx's big weekend moved him up to sixth amongst the BCIHL's scoring leaders with 27 points.
Runners up for this week's award include Selkirk College forward Ryan Edwards, Selkirk College goaltender James Prigione and Simon Fraser University forward Jono Ceci.
