University of Victoria forward Shawn Mueller has been named the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League's Player of the Week for the week ending November 9th.
On Friday, Mueller put forward a historic performance in UVic's 10-2 victory over Eastern Washington University with a league-record six goals in a single game.
The 22-year old opened the scoring on a Vikes power-play and scored again at even strength before the end of the first period. He then added another in the second before picking up a third-period hat trick as the Vikes ran away with the game.
He went on to record an assist in a shootout loss on Saturday, raising his point total for the weekend to seven.
Runners up for this week's award include University of Victoria forward Adam Klein, Selkirk College goaltender James Prigione and Eastern Washington University goaltender Austin Brihn.
