Simon Fraser University forward Nick Sandor has been named the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League's final Player of the Week award recipient of 2013 after getting the nod for the week ending December 8th.
As he has done all season, Sandor led the SFU attack against Eastern Washington University as the Clan picked up a pair of wins by 5-2 and 7-0 scores.
On Friday, the 24-year old scored twice -- including the game-winner -- and assisted on goals by Jono Ceci and Josh McKissock as SFU took control of a game that was tied 2-2 midway through the second period.
And on Saturday, Sandor scored the Clan's third goal and went on to assist on three other markers in a blowout win.
Overall, the NCAA D1 transfer picked up three goals and eight points to vault himself into top spot in the BCIHL scoring race. He and linemate Jono Ceci lead all point-getters with 30 and 29 points respectively.
Runners up for this week's award include Ceci as well as EWU forward Jake Flynn and SFU goaltender Graeme Gordon.
