Four-point night in BCIHL debut earns POW honours for SFU's Aaron Enns

Simon Fraser University forward Aaron Enns has been named the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League's Player of the Week for the week ending October 13th.

Enns netted four points in his first BCIHL regular season game on Saturday night as the Clan defeated longtime rivals Thompson Rivers by a 7-4 score at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre in Burnaby.

Up 2-0 midway through the second period, Enns assisted on a power-play goal by defenceman Jared Eng to give SFU a three-goal lead over the WolfPack.

Then, in the final frame with TRU pushing for a comeback, the 22-year old scored his first BCIHL goal on a man-advantage before setting up Jono Ceci for the game winner minutes later. Enns would later add another assist on a Graham Smerek goal to cap a four-point evening.

Runners up for this week's award include Selkirk College forward Logan Proulx, Thompson Rivers University forward Duncan Schulz and Eastern Washington University goaltender Jason Greenwell.
