Thompson Rivers University forward Colten DeFrias has been named the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League's Player of the Week for the week ending January 27th.

DeFrias led the WolfPack offensively during their weekend sweep on home ice against Eastern Washington University.

On Friday, the rookie forward scored on the power play early in the second period to give TRU a 3-0 lead in a game they would go on to win 5-1. And on Saturday, DeFrias scored his team's opening goal and assisted on three others as the WolfPack cruised to a 6-1 victory.

DeFrias currently sits second on TRU in scoring with 10 goals and 22 points through 14 games.

Runners up for this week's award include Simon Fraser University forward Kale Wild, Thompson Rivers University forward Alessio Tomassetti and Thompson Rivers University goaltender Shane Mainprize.
