A tight, hard-fought 2-2 contest was the result of the latest engagement in the long-running BCIHL rivalray between the Thompson Rivers WolfPack and the Simon Fraser University Clan on Friday night at Memorial Arena in Kamloops.
The 'Pack opened the scoring at the 13:07 mark of the 1st period with an even-strength goal from Nathan Michaels (assist to Mick Ludvig). SFU evened the score with only :54 seconds remaining in the 1st period on a goal from Jono Ceci (assists Tyler Mah and Ben Van Lare). Shots after 1 period were 14-9 in favour of the 'Pack.
SFU got 5 shots on WolfPack goaltender Riley Wall in the second period and took a 2-1 lead after 40 minutes on a goal from Kyle Leung (assists Taylor Piller and Ben Van Lare) at 12:22. TRU were able to get 10 second period shots on SFU goaltender Evan Kurylo but came away empty handed.
The WolfPack played with some sense of urgency and were rewarded with a game tying goal from David Gore with 1:48 remaining in the 3rd period. Shots were 9-5 in favour of the Clan in the 3rd period.
Overall the WolfPack out shot SFU 29-22.

The entire TRU WolfPack Men's Baseball Team including coach Ray Chadwick was in attendance. WolfPack Assistant Captain Cody Lockwood presented coach Chadwick and his players with a donation from the players for Tyler Lowey who injured his eye earlier in the month.
The WolfPack's next home game is Saturday November 5th 8pm at Memorial Arena versus Okanagan College.
