The defending B.C. Intercollegiate Hockey League regular season champs are seeking new leadership behind the bench following the departure of head coach Lorne Cumming.
Cumming has advised the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack that he will not be returning to the team for the 2011/12 season. Under Lorne's guidance the team made considerable progress, including winning the regular season BCIHL title with a record of 19-4-1. Lorne also led the WolfPack to a second straight appearance in the BCIHL Championship Final only to lose to Simon Fraser University.
WolfPack Hockey thanks Lorne for the high level of professionalism and commitment he brought to the program. Lorne dedicated untold hours of his time to provide TRU's players with a first rate collegiate hockey program and was recognized by his peers and was named the BCIHL Coach of the Year for the 2010/11 season. The WolfPack Hockey club thanks Lorne for his efforts and wishes him well with his future endeavors.
