Okanagan College goaltender Adam Butler has been named the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League's Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 24th, the league announced Monday.
Butler was nearly unbeatable in Okanagan's key weekend win over Thompson Rivers University at Kelowna Memorial Arena. The 23-year old faced 52 shots and allowed just a single goal in a 2-1 victory over the WolfPack. Butler's 51 saves boosted his already impressive numbers on the season, as he now sits with a record of 3-0, a 1.39 goals-against average and .958 save percentage.
Honourable mentions for this week's award include Selkirk College forward Caleb Georgetti, who score twice and counted three points in the Saints' first win of the season on Friday night, and SFU's Colby Kulhanek, who scored four times and added an assist in a pair of weekend victories.
