The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack trounced the host Selkirk College Saints 11-1 on Saturday in Castlegar, improving their record to 3-0 in B.C. Intercollegiate Hockey League play.
If early indications are true, offence will be no concern for the Pack after an impressive 22 goals for and 3 goals against in the three league games thus far.
Head coach Lorne Cumming added although we were strong offensively “the team responded well with a more disciplined game and had a strong performance defensively to shut down any hope the Saints had coming out today”.
Casey Patterson led with the goal scorers with a hat trick while Andrew Fisher and Jose Reyes each struck twice. Singles were added by Joel Leonard, Zac Rasmussen, Cody Lockwood, and Tyler Halliday.
Riley Wall had a strong performance in net to take home the win for the Pack in net.
Next up for the WolfPack is a home game on Friday October 15th at Memorial Arena when they host University of Fraser Valley. Puck drops at 8:30 PM.
