The George Preston Arena in Langley was packed on Saturday, December 5th as fans came out to support the Trinity Western University Titans in their scholarship fundraiser game against the Vancouver Canucks Alumni.
The game was reminiscent of the Harlem Globe Trotters with a lot of fun as well as great hockey from both teams. Canuck announcer John Ashbridge called the game while the Titans went up against favourite Canuck alum like Dave Babych.
There was a lot of back and forth action with the game finishing 9-9 complete with four goals from Titans captain Pete Masterton and a hat trick from veteran Josh Macknee. Rookie Josh Stephenson led off the scoring for the game.
The Canuck alum were led by John Craighead, who had four goals for the night.
The Titans now have a long break until January when they start off the new year with a road trip to Okanagan University for a double header.
The Titans would like to say thank-you to all who supported and joined in the fun at the Canucks Alumni game and wish all of their fans a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
