The University of Victoria grabbed a dramatic win Friday -- but dropped a point in the process -- by defeating the University of the Fraser Valley by a 3-2 score in overtime.
The Vikes received the winning tally from Brent Sutherland, who had three points on the night.
Victoria grabbed two of the three points available in BCIHL Championships play while the Cascades took one point in the loss.
Earlier Friday, Simon Fraser University dominated in a 7-0 win over Trinity Western. With the regulation win, SFU took the early lead in the round-robin standings with three points.
SFU opens Saturday action when they face UFV at 9:30 AM. Victoria follows with a match-up against Trinty Western at 12:00 PM.
