The University of Victoria captured second place in the BC Intercollegiate Hockey League standings over the weekend with a two-game sweep of Selkirk College in the Kootenays.
With the pair of wins, Victoria vaulted over the University of the Fraser Valley with 21 points. While UFV sits just two points back with one regular season game remaining, UVic's superior record in the four regular season games played between the teams assure them of the higher placing.
As the league's second place team, Victoria will be the home team for two of their BCIHL Tournament round-robin games during the event which takes place from March 13th to 15th at Centre Ice in Abbotsford. Fraser Valley, as the third place finisher, will host a single game.
