Simon Fraser University scored seven goals through two periods of play on Saturday and held on for a 7-3 home ice win over the Trinity Western University Titans.
Jaime Laprise scored once and added four assists for SFU, building on a seven-point effort against Selkirk College two weeks earlier. Centre Blair Driedger and winger Jackson Friesen each notched three points in the win, combining on a line with Laprise that totalled 11 points.
Netminders Cailen Marshall and Eric Kock split duties in net for Simon Fraser, with Marshall picking up the win after allowing just one goal through his half of action.
Jared Elenko, Jon Higgins and Matt Chaput replied for the Titans, with Chaput also tallying an assist.
Both teams are now idle until they meet one another on Saturday, February 14th at Langley Twin Rinks.
