The University of the Fraser Valley received offence from two reliable sources and good signs of things to come from a new addition on Saturday, scoring early and often in a 8-3 win over Trinity Western.
League scoring leader Rob Vos led the way offensively for the Cascades with two goals and three assists while Olson notched a hat trick and added an assist.
Former Vancouver Giants star Mitch Bartley picked up his first point in his second game with UFV, assisting on Olson's first goal of the night. Bartley joined the Cascades at the beginning of January after a successful four-year career with the Giants that included a Memorial Cup appearance in 2006. He later went on to play two seasons for the University of British Columbia.
Sam Ahlgren and Josh MacKnee each responded with a pair of points for Trinity Western, who have a stranglehold on fourth place in the BCIHL standings but trail the University of Victoria by six points.
Josh Pastoor picked up his fourth win of the season in net for the Cascades, who return to ice next Sunday when they host Selkirk College.
