A week after dropping a decision to SFU on the road, the University of the Fraser Valley Cascades gave the league's first-place team some of their own medicine.
Rob Vos scored twice and added a pair of assists as the Cascades downed Simon Fraser 5-4. The lost was the first for SFU, who had entered the game with a 6-0 record in league play.
UFV entered the first intermission down a goal, but stormed back with three second period markers, inclduing a slick solo effort by Vos. Simon Brouwer also notched a pair of goals for Fraser Valley, while Larry Johanson posted two assists.
Jason Pagliaro, Braden Liversidge, Chris Bond and John Bressette responded for Simon Fraser, all on the power-play.
Both teams next play league opponents two weeks from now when Selkirk College visits the Lower Mainland.
