In their final game of the regular season, SFU accomplished something no other team had since the BCIHL campaign began in October - they took a point from the University of Victoria on the road.
Simon Fraser captain Shawn Murracas, James Power, Ben Robinson and John Bressette scored in the 4-4 tie while Blake Hanna helped earn the draw with a strong performance in net.
A second period assist by Paul Moscone assured the diminutive centre fourth place in league scoring while fellow SFU forwards Murracas, Jason Pagliaro ad Craig Munro also clinched top-ten finishes in the BCIHL scoring race.
SFU now has two weeks to prepare for the BCIHL Championship Tournament, where it will meet the University-College of the Fraser Valley in the tourney's opening game. Simon Fraser and Victoria will meet again the next night in the final round-robin contest for both teams.
