The Okanagan College Men’s Hockey program is pleased to announce a playing commitment from Yorkton Terriers defenceman Keon Vick to suit up for the Coyotes for the 2011/12 British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League season. Vick, from Medicine Hat, AB, played two seasons on the Yorkton blueline and most recently netted 11 points in 38 games to help the Terriers reach the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s Credit Union Cup Finals. His career Junior A totals include three goals and 14 assists in 89 games split between Yorkton and the AJHL’s Brooks Bandits. “Keon provides a steady, veteran presence on defence and helps add to an already deep group of blueliners,” says Coyotes general manager Kolby Barnstable. “We love his steady influence from the back end and the physical element he can bring to our team. His experience and leadership will help us in reaching our ultimate goal of winning our first BCIHL Championship.” Vick joins Steve Dobbin and Cody Hodgins, both of the AJHL's Lloydminster Bobcats, as Coyotes' commits for the fall. |
