Simon Fraser University is pleased to announce a commitment former North Vancouver Wolf Pack forward Justin Lee for the 2019/20 B.C. Intercollegiate Hockey League season.
Lee, who grew up in North Vancouver, totaled 116 points in 111 Pacific Junior Hockey League games, culminating in an impressive 2018/19 campaign in which he captained the Wolf Pack to a league championship with 20 points in 14 playoff games.
Lee played three seasons of CSSHL hockey with the Burnaby Winter Club prior to junior, where he was named the PJHL’s Most Sportsmanlike Player in 2019.
The speedy two-way forward will enter SFU's Business Administration program and hopes to make an immediate impact with the Clan.
“My goal is to help SFU win a championship,” says Lee, who says his game is based around taking advantage of his speed. He joins former Wolf Pack teammate Mitch Ledyard on the SFU roster.
Lee is the fifth Clan recruit announced this offseason following forward Ty Westgard (Coquitlam, BCHL) and defencemen Jordan Dawson (Nanaimo, BCHL), Matt Krawiec (Red Lake, SIJHL) and Jake Keremidschieff (Richmond, PJHL).
SFU takes on TWU and UBC for the 2019 Captain’s Cup in September prior to kicking off the 2019/20 BCIHL season in October.
Additional announcements are expected in the coming weeks.
