2018 BCIHL PLAYOFFS
First Round: March 9-12, 2018
Championship Round: March 15-17, 2018

 

Since the 2012/13 season, the winner of the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League championship has been determined by a two-round, four-team playoffs. Previously, a tournament-style event existed that was phased out following the 2011/12 season. To learn more about past playoffs and champions, visit our History: Championships page.

FORMAT:

The BCIHL playoffs will consist of the top four finishers in the league's regular season standings. Each round is contested as a best-of-three series.

FIRST ROUND:

Series 1 - (#1) Trinity Western University vs. (#4) University of Victoria

Game 1: Friday, March 9th - TWU wins 8-1 in Victoria, BC
Game 2: Saturday, March 10th - TWU wins 4-3 in Langley, BC
TWU wins series 2-0 and advances to 2018 BCIHL Finals

Series 2 - (#2) Selkirk College vs. (#3) Vancouver Island University

Game 1: Friday, March 9th - Selkirk wins 5-3 in Castlegar
Game 2: Saturday, March 10th - Selkirk wins 4-3 (OT) in Castlegar
Selkirk College wins series 2-0 and advances to 2018 BCIHL Finals



CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND:

Series 3 - (#1) Trinity Western University vs. (#2) Selkirk College

Game 1: Thursday, March 15th - TWU wins 5-1 in Langley, BC
Game 2: Friday, March 16th - TWU wins 4-1 in Langley, BC
TWU wins series 2-0 and captures 2018 BCIHL Championship
