The University of Victoria is pleased to announce the signing of forward Keenan Eddy of the Ontario Junior Hockey League's Wellington Dukes for the 2019/20 B.C. Intercollegiate Hockey League season.
A native of Duncan B.C., Keenan played his minor hockey with the Cowichan Valley Minor Hockey Association. In his first year of Peewee and second year Bantam he lead his teams to the BC Provincials.
Keenan went on to play played 101 games for the Kerry Park Islanders of the VIJHL tallying up 35 goals and 43 assists for a total of 78 points.
He also brings 98 games of Junior A experience playing for the NOJHL's Soo Thunderbirds and currently with the Dukes where he has 10 goals and 9 assists for a total of 19 points in 44 regular season games.
“I chose the University of Victoria because having a great education is very important to me and having the ability to play competitive hockey for a well-respected program was something I couldn't pass up," says Eddy. "I look forward to helping the Vikes get another BCIHL championship in my time at the school. Go Vikes!”
Eddy is set to join the Vikes for the 2019/20 season. Victoria is back in action Friday when they host Simon Fraser University.
