Selkirk College forward Edward Lindsey is the ANYTHING BRANDED Player of the Week for the week ending January 27th.
The 21-year-old from Castlegar, BC paced the Saints offence in a weekend trip to Vancouver Island that saw Selkirk College gain three of a possible four points.
On Friday, Lindsey notched a goal just over midway through the first period as the Saints scored twice in the first two periods en route to a 4-2 win over the University of Victoria.
In Nanaimo on Saturday night, Lindsey was deadly on the power play, scoring one goal and setting up another as Selkirk College pushed Vancouver Island University to a shootout before falling 5-4. He also scored a goal just 38 seconds into the second period.
The former Castlegar Rebels sniper leads the Saints in scoring with 20 points (11 goals, nine assists) in 18 games, totals which also see him tied for fifth in BCIHL scoring. Lindsey sits second in rookie scoring this season as well.
Runners up for this week's ANYTHING BRANDED POW award include Vancouver Island University defenceman Garrett Murray, Simon Fraser University forward Mitch Newsome and University of Victoria goaltender Michael Fredrick.
