Callegari named Player of the Week following three-game weekend sweep

Simon Fraser University forward Adam Callegari has been named the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League's Player of the Week for the week ending February 5th.

The 23-year old forward was a constant offensive presence as the Clan picked up the maximum six points during their only three-games-in-three-days weekend of the regular season.

On Thursday, Callegari scored the insurance marker in SFU's 2-0 road win over Trinity Western, and he was named the game's third star. He earned that recognition again on Friday when he scored the first goal in an eventual 3-2 overtime win over Eastern Washington. And on Saturday, against the league's four-time defending champion Selkirk Saints, he assisted on the game winner in a 3-1 victory.

With three points on the weekend, Callegari moved into second place in team scoring and eighth overall amongst BCIHL skaters.

Runners up for this week's award include Simon Fraser University goaltender Lyndon Stanwood, University of Victoria forward Mike Janz and Selkirk College forward Jack Mills.
