On the latest edition of the 2015/16 "Inside the BCIHL" audio podcast, host Brian Wiebe chats with a BCIHL championship three-peat winner as well as the league's reigning Player of the Week.
First, Brian talks with Trinity Western University defenceman Lucas Hildebrand. Hildebrand joined the Spartans to help patrol the blueline this fall following three consecutive BCIHL championships at Selkirk College, and is now hoping to make it four-straight while he finishes his degree in Langley.
Next, Brian sits down with Simon Fraser University forward Graham Smerek, who picked up three points in a big home ice win over Eastern Washington to earn BCIHL Player of the Week recognition. Smerek is a third year forward and an alumnus of the La Ronge Ice Wolves of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.
