Trinity Western University returns home after a perfect two-game road trip against Selkirk College to play host to the University of Victoria on Friday evening at the Langley Events Centre.
The Spartans return home after three straight road games which saw them earn a 5-4 win against SFU (Nov. 2) followed by a pair of wins last weekend against Selkirk. Victoria comes to town after winning just once over the previous seven games (1-5-0-1).
First-year Spartans forward Josh Bruce will look to keep his offensive momentum going after a six-point (1G, 5A) weekend earned him BCIHL Player of the Week honours and Spartans captain Jarrett Fontaine will make his home debut after returning from injury and picking up three points (2G, 1A) in his first two games of the season last weekend. TWU forward Evan Last’s 105 career points has him just three points back of Logan Proulx for 10th all-time in BCIHL history.
Victoria’s offense will be led by rookie forward Keenan Eddy, who sits first in team scoring and second in BCIHL rookie scoring (6G, 3A) behind TWU forward Bruce.
The Spartans have outscored UVic 16-3 over its last two games, winning their previous matchup 9-1 on home ice on Oct. 18. TWU is 8-2 in its last 10 games against Victoria, including playoffs.
