Simon Fraser University forward Mak Barden is the ANYTHING BRANDED Player of the Week for the week ending November 12th.
The 24-year-old third year veteran had a BCIHL personal best four assists for SFU in a dominant 8-1 win over Vancouver Island University on Saturday to extend the Clan's win streak to four games. Despite not hitting the scoresheet on Friday, Barden had a solid game for Simon Fraser in a 3-1 victory against the University of Victoria.
The Surrey, BC native was deadly on the power play against VIU, setting up two goals with the man advantage as SFU went 3-for-7. Barden, who transfered from Arizona State University in 2015, added an assist in both the first and third periods as well.
With 18 games remaining, Barden has already tied his career high for assists in a BCIHL season.
Runners up for this week's ANYTHING BRANDED POW award include Selkirk College forward Brandon Sookro, Trinity Western University defenseman Kenny Batke and Eastern Washington University forward Beau Walker.
