The University of Victoria is back in action at home this weekend, hosting the four-time defending BCIHL champion Selkirk College Saints at the Ian Stewart Complex.
The Vikes currently sit with a 3-1-0 record and will look to continue their strong start to the season against the 1-2-0 Saints.
This weekend's match up will be the first meeting of the two clubs since the two squared off in playoffs last season, which resulted in Selkirk College winning the series and eventually carrying on to defeat Trinity Western University for the BCIHL Championship.
Forwards Patrick Holland (4-4-3-7) and Shawn Mueller (4-3-5-8) along with defenseman Kyle Bird (4-2-6-8) currently lead the BCIHL in scoring, while goaltender Scott Legault is tops in the league with a .948 save percentage. Legault is set to start between the pipes for the Vikes on Friday.
Puck drop on both Friday and Saturday is scheduled for 8:00 PM at the Ian Stewart Complex.
