University of Victoria forward Patrick Holland has been named the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League's Player of the Week for the week ending October 16th.
The first-year forward with the pro hockey pedigree made his presence known in the Vikes' weekend sweep of Eastern Washington, picking up six points in two games.
On Friday, the 24-year old assisted on Luciano Somerville's first period power-play marker, and on Saturday he had scored four goals by the midway point of the second period in addition to setting up another goal from Shawn Mueller.
Holland was named the game's first star on Saturday and sits third in league scoring behind teammates Mueller and Kyle Bird.
Runners up for this week's award include Selkirk College defenceman Nathan Browne, Trinity Western University goaltender Silas Matthys and University of Victoria forward Shawn Mueller.
