BC Intercollegiate Hockey League: 2019 Exposure Camp

The B.C. Intercollegiate Hockey League is pleased to announce that its first-ever Exposure Camp will be held from April 19-21 at Sportsplex in Langley, B.C. and that registration is now open. Whether you're looking to play university hockey next season or hoping to get onto the radar of college coaches for future years, the BCIHL Exposure Camp presents a great opportunity to take the next steps in your hockey and scholastic journeys.

The camp will give players aged 15+ the chance to compete in front of the coaching staffs from all five BCIHL teams over three days. All participants will play three games and have one practice run by BCIHL head coaches. The weekend will include information sessions by each institution to inform players and their families on the educational and athletic opportunities at their respective schools. The BCIHL's head coaches will also hold a round table discussion and Q & A open to all athletes and parents. All participants will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with coaches during the camp and at the conclusion of their final game to receive feedback and discuss their athletic and academic development.

The BCIHL was founded in 2006 and is currently in its 13th season offering outstanding post-secondary hockey close to home. BCIHL teams regularly face off against NCAA competition, including games in recent seasons against Divison I schools like North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Providence College and Arizona State.

Dates: April 19-21, 2019
Location: Langley Sportsplex

Registration Fee: $250 for skaters; $300 for goaltenders
Processing Fees: A $2.00 convenience fee will be added upon checkout, as well as an additional $1.50 fee for Interac payments or a 4% fee for credit card payments. These fees are charged and collected by our online registration provider, not the B.C. Intercollegiate Hockey.

Spaces are limited and a sell-out is expected. Register soon to guarantee your place.

Q: How do I register?
A: Click the link above. If you've never registered for a camp using the eSportsdesk online registration system, you'll need to create an account in order to proceed. Once you've logged in, select your position and follow the steps to register and pay. The entire process takes 5-10 minutes.

Q: Who will be running the camp?
A: The head coaches from the BCIHL's five teams will run practices and run the benches during games. League and team staff will assist in running the information sessions and seminars.

Q: Who is able to participate?
A: All midget and junior-aged participants are welcome to attend and we will do our best to construct teams according to age group.

Q: Outside of on-ice activities, what else is included in the camp?
A: Each BCIHL team will host an information session outlining the academic and hockey opportunities at their respective school. All BCIHL coaches will participate in a round-table discussion and Q & A for players and families.

Q: Will there be any additional opportunities to interact one-on-one with BCIHL coaches?
A: Yes. All camp participants will be able to meet with coaches during the camp and will have an exit meeting with their team's coach at the conclusion of the camp.

Q: I'm not looking to play university hockey this fall. Is this camp still for me?
A: Yes. It's beneficial to begin the recruitment process as far in advance of starting your post-secondary studies as possible in order to maximize your options and opportunities. BCIHL teams welcome interest from players for future seasons, and beginning a relationship early allows teams and coaches to get to know you and track your progress.
